Shimano's
high end mountain bike sport shoe, the M161, is everything you could
ever want/need out of an SPD shoe for trail, xc and all mountain riding.
This shoe appeals to many types of cyclists:
competitiveriders, off-road enthusiasts, touring cyclists and fitness
fanatics.
The M161 keeps comfortable with a larger "toe box" and
with triple offset straps, one which incorporates a micro adjust buckle
for a snug and secure fit.
Sole design provides plenty of
traction for off the bike adventures.
It also has a "V" on the
underside that allows you to unclip from the pedal and rest the shoe on
top of the pedal without needing to clip back in. That means that if you
are in a tricky situation, you don't have to have your feet clipped in,
but can still have a grip on the pedal.
The underside of the
shoe has a large contact area making the shoes have good traction and
grip when walking around.The sides of the shoe are re-inforced so your
shoes will last ages, riding past gnarly branches and being slapped
around won't make them rip as easily as less burly shoes.
The
offset straps on the shoe also mean that the pressure on your foot is
spread out over the bridge of your foot so that the pressure is not all
in the one area (making it more comfy).
