Woodend Ride Sunday 29th March

Hi all

This Sunday a couple of us are going to Woodend to ride the Wombat Trail. This is a great singletrack that will host the BMC 100km in April. Anyone who has not riden here or anyone who would like to come for a ride is welcome. We ride for approx 2 hours usualy. It's a fantastic trail and fun for a group ride.

We will meet at the Calder Park servo/McCafe which is just past the Thunderdome on the Calder Fwy and on the Left hand side, you can miss it. Type in calder Park Thunderdome on google maps. Meeting time is 9:30-10:00am and i will be parked at the end of the carpark in a black XR ute. From there we can drive to the Trail so no one get's lost. It's approx 30 mins from Melbourne.

Weather looks to be perfect for Sunday, 24 and sunny.

Woodend was great again on Sunday. We rode just over 40k in perfect temp. The Trail was quite busy Sunday and from the condition of Wombat Trail over the last 2-3km showed that it has been receiving heaving numbers in the leadup to the BMC100. The last 2km is prob the most technical with a great switchback at the very end which is testing.

Anyone interested in going out there should as its a great loop of approx 18-20k, a couple of laps makes for a great training ride.
